The Hooklift Operator/ manager will be responsible for scheduling daily work activities, fulfilling maintenance requirements, and to ensure the truck is kept clean.

The operator/ manager is accountable for the safe operation of the equipment while loading and unloading a variety of waste from various collection sites to approved disposal locations.
Key Results
- Successfully and safely operate roll-off trucks, to meet assigned pick-up and delivery schedules, and safely operate other related equipment, including pick-up trucks, loaders, and excavators.

-Perform work assignments received from the On-Site Supervisor, normally without close supervision.
- Prepare, maintain and present work orders, equipment maintenance, incident and safety reports as required.
- Operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Ensure trucks and equipment are safely and securely stored when not in use.
- Advise supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
- All paperwork, including entering data in the daily logs, is completed and submitted in an accurate and timely basis.
- All equipment is maintained on a regular basis.
- Operational efficiencies, process and procedures are evaluated and improvements recommended, if any.

-Safety procedures are continually followed to target zero Incidents/lost time injuries/property damages.
- Client satisfaction is achieved and continually maintained by the efforts of the Operations personnel.
- Promptly taking a proactive approach to assess and mitigate hazardous conditions ensures that all Safety and Operational activities are successful.
Candidate Profile
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience is required.
- General mechanical aptitude by possessing knowledge of trucks and operational equipment.
- Broad knowledge of hauling gravel and 40 yard containers.
- Previous experience troubleshooting situations to find the right solution.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge and experience with roll equipment.
- General excavator and loader experience is an asset.
- Clear communication and spotting techniques.
