Summer Student General Labourer Job at Post Consumer Brands
Business Unit Overview:
As a general labourer you are expected to assist the production floor by supporting line operators.
You will be scheduled for 40 hours per week Monday to Friday and included into our MAD shift rotation: Midnights 11:00pm – 7:00am, Afternoons 3:00pm – 11:00pm, Days 7:00am – 3:00pm, with the possibility for overtime, as per the Collective Agreement.

Post Consumer Brands in Cobourg, Ontario is home to more than 140 team members and produces the majority of the company's Non-GMO Project Verified and organic products. Responsibilities:

As a general labourer you are expected to assist the production floor by supporting line operators.
You will be scheduled for 40 hours per week Monday to Friday and included into our MAD shift rotation: Midnights 11:00pm – 7:00am, Afternoons 3:00pm – 11:00pm, Days 7:00am – 3:00pm, with the possibility for overtime, as per the Collective Agreement.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner, reports unsafe conditions to the immediate shift supervisor
- Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waste removal, chemical application for cleaning and sanitizing, operating floor cleaning equipment, working at heights, lifting devices,
- Maintain a clean workstation at all times
- Move skids via a hand pump jack
- Sack Tipping (Pouring Ingredients into mixer)
- Make minor ingredient mixtures
- Utilize a scanner to track all mixes
- Make totes
- Performs duties requiring some heaving lifting, walking, climbing and height work
- Maintains the organization and inventory maintenance of all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Monitors and maintains recycle, garbage and food waste systems in plant.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be 18 Years or Older
- High School Diploma, GED, or significant experience
- Production experience is an asset
- Ability to apply basic mathematical skills
