SEASONAL FERTILIZER MIXER / PLANT WORKER
Cavendish Agri Services supports farmers in growing healthy and productive crops. We have 8 manufacturing/retail locations throughout Atlantic Canada. Our primary products include fertilizers, crop protectants and technical expertise.
Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the
Fertilizer Mixer and
Plant Workers will be a results driven, self starter who has the ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
The position lasts for a period of 4 to 6 weeks, starting immediately.
Wage: $18 - $20/hr for fertilizer mixers and $15-16 for plant workers.
Work location: Kensington / Travellers Rest, PE
Key responsibilities:

Prepare and load raw material for mixing process

Maintain warehouse and production area
-
Work in production line using designated equipment, as directed

Operate production equipment and machinery

Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of production equipment

Inspect product exiting mixing line

Ensure products are made to customer specifications

All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Committed to participating in a safe work environment
-
Ability to lift up to 55lbs (25kgs)
-
Availability to work extended hours, evenings and weekends
-
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
-
Forklift experience would be considered an asset
-
Mechanical aptitude and experience working in manufacturing or farm/fertilizer operations would be considered an asset
