Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be the go-to subject matter expert, collaborating with colleagues across the wider Sales team –advising and supporting client engagements throughout the entire sales process.
A 'Day-in-the Life' of a Brand Technical Specialist may include, but not be limited to:
- Developing approaches for clients to grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM’s proven technology solutions.
- Defining and detailing feasible IBM solutions that complement and enhance clients’ existing tech stacks.
- Delivering proof of concepts and simplifying difficult, technical topics into understandable client education.
- Consultatively building credibility and trust at all levels to close highly complex technology deals.
- Motivated to achieve sales, business objectives and high client satisfaction.
- Confidence to engage new customers and deliver an elevated experience.
- Motivation to achieve sales, business objectives and high client satisfaction.
- Aptitude to utilize selling technologies to network, engage clients, and identify new business opportunities.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, M.I.S., or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering.
- Conversant and knowledgeable about technology, trends, and its application to address business challenges.
- Experience translating business requirements into technology solutions.
- Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated team collaboration and leadership.
- Readiness to travel up to 20% annually.
- Must be able to travel to the U.S
- 1-2 years of professional work experience
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- At least 1 year experience in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering concepts.
- Programming coursework or experience a plus.
- Prior work experience in client sales or service.
- Experience includes all settings, such as coursework, informal or side projects, internships and work experience, leading to a result or achievement.
